Accessibility as Part of Our Equity & Anti‑Racism Commitment
As part of the Pugwash Equity & Anti‑Racism Advisory Committee outreach, accessibility is being intentionally considered alongside equity and anti‑racism.
We recognize that barriers related to accessibility—whether physical, digital, social, or systemic—can limit participation and belonging within our community. An equitable and anti‑racist approach must also work to ensure that people of all abilities can access information, share their voices, and take part in community life.
The design and messaging of this poster aim to be clear, inclusive, and welcoming, supporting broad access to information about the Advisory Committee. Accessibility considerations are part of our ongoing efforts to create spaces, communications, and opportunities that reflect the diversity of our community and promote inclusion for everyone.
By integrating accessibility into this work, the Village of Pugwash is taking a more holistic approach to equity—one that acknowledges the intersecting experiences of residents and supports meaningful participation across our community.
