Pugwash Farmers’ Market Opens for the 2026 Season, starting May 16
The Pugwash Farmers’ Market returns for the 2026 season on Saturday, May 16, and will run every Saturday until October 10. The market is open from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at 10222 Durham Street in Pugwash.
A regular part of the community’s spring, summer, and early fall schedule, the Pugwash Farmers’ Market offers residents and visitors a place to shop locally, meet vendors, and enjoy the village atmosphere. Each market day brings together a variety of local products, including fresh food, baked goods, handmade items, seasonal produce, crafts, preserves, and other offerings from vendors in the area.
The market provides an opportunity to support local producers, small businesses, artisans, and community vendors while finding unique items that are not always available through larger retail outlets. For many people, it is also a weekly gathering place where neighbours reconnect, visitors discover local products, and families can enjoy a relaxed Saturday morning in Pugwash.
Shopping at the farmers’ market helps keep more spending in the local economy and supports the people who grow, make, bake, prepare, and sell goods close to home. It also gives customers a chance to speak directly with vendors, learn more about where products come from, and build connections with the people behind them.
As the season progresses, market offerings may change with the availability of local produce, seasonal goods, and special vendor items. Community members and visitors are encouraged to stop by regularly throughout the season to see what is new.
The Pugwash Farmers’ Market is part of what makes the village active and welcoming during the warmer months. Whether you are looking for fresh food, a locally made gift, something for the home or garden, or simply a chance to enjoy a Saturday morning in the community, the market offers a friendly and convenient way to support local.
