There is no excuse for not being busy in Pugwash, this little village is blessed with over 60 volunteer and non-profit organizations.  There is something for everyone.  If you don't see your favourite interest, sport or activity in the list below, you can be sure if you started up a group, there will be plenty of volunteers to help you get started!

Use this form as a guide to send us your information.  This will help potential new members find you.  Send your information into the village Clerk and a sheet will be compiled for you, or ....  you can compile it yourself and then send it to the Clerk.  Make sure you include:

This is a brand new website and we are still discovering new ways of presenting our - and your - information.  We thank you for your patience and welcome suggestions.

Funding Opportunities

Applications for funding may be made to the Commissioners of the Village of Pugwash.  Certain conditions will apply, in particular that this funding will only apply to those organizations that are primarily based in, or for the assistance of the residents of, the Village of Pugwash.  The requests for grants from the Village is competitive, so get your application in promptly.  Large sums may be outside of what is allowed in the Village budget for that year.  All applications for financial assistance must be made through the village Clerk's office.

All new applicants must complete the Grants application form.

 

Volunteer Appreciation

The Village of Pugwash and Communities in Bloom annually hold an event in September to show appreciation to the many volunteers in the village and area.

The Municipality of Cumberland County holds an event to appreciate volunteers countywide.  To apply for an invitation to attend, please fill in the application form and send to Kellie Seaman.
